Dragonz Rizing

Dragonz Rizing by Sifu Rahim Muhammad is the story of one man’s journey towards finding his purpose.

A native Washingtonian, Abdur-Rahim Muhammad was raised in Boston's Roxbury section which he proudly refers to as his other home, and where he attended Boston English High School. He is a graduate of Hampton University and the University of the District of Columbia. Muhammad began his Martial Arts training in 1970 and continues to teach in the traditional manner so highly emphasized by all his instructors with the motto, "learn kindness, learn justice and then learn kung fu." Sifu (which means teacher/father) Muhammad has trained and led teams to compete in tournaments throughout Asia. In 1995, he founded the Hung Tao Choy Mei Leadership Institute on historic U Street in Northwest Washington, D.C., living his purpose during a time when the streets were littered with drugs and crime.

The Legend of Jow Lung (Vol 1)

The Legend of Jow Lung is a graphic novel that retells the life and struggles of the founder of Jow Ga Martial Arts, the legendary Kung Fu Master, Jow Lung. Jow Lung, along with his four brothers, Jow Hip, Jow Biu, Jow Hoy , and Jow Tin, created the Jow Ga system in the early days of 20th Century China as a means of physical, spiritual and social discipline in response to the economic devastation and social decay brought about by Western colonization and the Opium Wars of the early 1900's.

The Legend of Jow Lung is written for younger audiences, but retains the historical accuracy needed to tell this story fully. Written by Jow Ga Master, Abdur-Rahim Muhammad, and illustrated by martial arts student and cartoonist, Clay Harris, The Legend of Jow Lung is written in mind for the youth of inner-city communities who face social challenges similar to those faced by Jow Lung himself when he started his training.

Path of Dragons: The Legend of Jow Lung (Vol 2)

The Path of Dragons (Vol 2) continues the Legend of Jow Lung.  Based on the true story of Jow Lung, a Chinese martial artist and teacher who founded a system of martial discipline called Jow Ga in the early 20th Century, The Path of Dragons tells the story of a child's dream for a better life. The path is narrow, filled with danger, mystery, and wonder. It is a story of a journey through fear, blood, and pain during which a champion is made, and a legend is born. Only a few dare to walk... The Path of Dragons.
